Background noise degrades speech intelligibility during communication via telecommunication terminals and impairs the performance of voice recognition systems. To evaluate device performance under noisy environments, authentic and repeatable tests are essential. A qualified background noise simulation system consists of hardware for recording, equalization and playback, as well as master control software. Developed by Landtop, 3DEQ-Lab is the ideal solution meeting all such demands.
3DEQ-Lab can reproduce recorded background noise scenarios while retaining original spatial characteristics, perfectly suited for the development and evaluation of sophisticated noise suppression algorithms. It enables performance assessment of modern smartphones, ANC headphones, ANC headsets, smart speakers, conference terminals and other hands-free communication devices under real-world operating conditions.
It realizes automatic digital system equalization via LMSA I microphone surround array or artificial ears. Featuring an asymmetric layout with 8 microphones (2 on the left, 1 at the front and 5 on the right), LMSA I achieves optimal equalization effect matching typical microphone positions of mobile phones.
